September 7, 2017 Vancouver Canadians Report

The Vancouver Canadians moved on after winning in the semi-finals in the Northwest League. They’ll endeavour to become the Blue Jays’ second league champion (or co-champion) in the 2017 season after a year in 2016 when the affiliates were much less successful in the playoffs.

 

 

Vancouver Canadians 2, Spokane Indians 1

 

The Vancouver Canadians (2-0) advanced to the Northwest League finals with another 2-1 win over the Spokane Indians. This time it was Brock Lundquist who powered the win, going 2/4 with a solo home run in the fourth inning. Logan Warmoth scored the first run after walking and was driven in by Riley Adams on a single in the first inning. Brandon Polizzi was 1/2 with a walk and two stolen bases.

 

 

 

Zach Logue was touched for just one hit and one walk in four innings of work, striking out four while Justin Dillon struck out six, giving up a run on two hits and a walk in three innings. Orlando Pascua6 continued to rack up strikeouts, whiffing four in two innings, allowing two hits in getting the save.

The Canadians continue their quest for the league title on Thursday against the Eugene Emeralds who defeated the Hillsboro Hops in two games.
