The Blue Jays keep rolling thanks to a masterful pitching performance from Drew Hutchison (who comes back strong after a couple of extra days rest). Here’s what happened in the minors!
Buffalo Bisons 4, Toledo Mud Hens 5
The ball was flying out of Coca-Cola Field with three home runs combined in the game and despite out-homering the Mud Hens, the Bisons lost in extra innings. Liam Hendriks wasn’t hit particularly hard, allowing four runs on only six hits and no walks while striking out six batters in his first start back in the minors after a brief call up to the Blue Jays. Darin Mastroianni launched his third homer of the season while Dan Johnson hit his team-leading 11th. Brett Carroll went 2/4, as did Jonathan Diaz who had a single and a double.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 10, Bowie Baysox 2
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are on a winning streak, winning their fourth in a row with Ryan Schimpf going deep for the game’s only home run in a 10-2 victory over Baltimore’s Double-A affiliate, Bowie. Schimpf added a double and a walk to his 11th home run and four other Fisher Cats had multi-hit games including Jon Berti (2/5), Hector Gimenez (2/5, 2B), Andy Burns (2/4) and Jonathan Jones (3/4, 2B, 3B). Aaron Sanchez went five strong innings, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks and striking out seven before John Anderson had one of his best outings of the season, throwing three scoreless innings, walking one and striking out four and Arik Sikula returned to what he was doing in Dunedin, striking out the side in his inning of work.

Dunedin Blue Jays 14, Jupiter Hammerheads 2
The D-Jays went bonkers on the Jupiter Hammerheads behind a solid start by Kendall Graveman. Graveman earned his fifth win, throwing six innings, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts. Efrain Nieves threw a scoreless seventh and Justin Jackson finished things off with two scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out two. The batters “only” had 11 hits but also took six walks and got big contributions from FSL All-Star Dwight Smith, Jr. (2/4, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB, 3 R), Nick Baligod (3/4, BB, RBI) and Kellen Sweeney (3/4, R, 2 2B, RBI). K.C. Hobson hit his third home run of the season for Dunedin.

DSL Blue Jays 0, DSL Yankees2 6
The DSL Jays were blanked by the Yanks and 19-year-old outfielder Francisco Rodriguez had two of the Jays’ six hits. 21-year-old righty Luis Gomez was the best pitcher throwing 3 2/3 scoreless innings, facing two batters over the minimum, giving up a hit and hitting a batter.

Radhames Liz makes his first Buffalo start against Toledo’s Kyle Lobstein in a 7:05 PM ET start that will be available on MiLB TV.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats (22-35)
New Hampshire has a morning game at 10:35 AM on MiLB TV that features Scott Copeland versus Chih-Hsien Chiang of the Bowie Baysox.
Dunedin Blue Jays (40-17)
The Dunedin Blue Jays send Taylor Cole, a Florida State League All-Star, to the mound against Luis Cessa of the St. Lucie Mets for a 6:30 PM start in Dunedin.
Lansing Lugnuts (27-30)
The South Bend Silver Hawks visit Lansing and send Hector Hernandez to the mound against Jeremy Gabryszwski for the Lugnuts. This one’s at 7:05 PM.
