April 16, 2017 Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Report

Gregorio Petit

There was only one game for the Blue Jays’ affiliates on Easter Sunday with the Buffalo Bisons taking a loss.

Buffalo Bisons 1, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 3

The Buffalo Bisons couldn’t keep up their winning streak as they ran into Chad Green who is working his way back to the major leagues, losing 3-1 to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Easter Sunday. Green allowed just one run on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings for the RailRiders, stifling the Bisons’ bats. Gregorio Petit was 2/3 with a double and the club’s lone RBI while Ty Kelly was 2/4 with a double, accounting for two-thirds of the club’s offense. Jason Leblebijian and Mike Ohlman each had a hit.

Brett Oberholtzer made his second appearance with the Bisons, allowing a run on five hits and a walk in five innings, striking out three. Mike Bolsinger took the loss, giving up two runs in 2 2/3 innings on five hits but struck out four. Danny Barnes finished the game, stranding an inherited runner and striking out the only batter he faced.

Player of the Game: Gregorio Petit and Brett Oberholtzer
